Scott Gregory has been licensed as a “Marriage and Family Therapist” since 1992 and in private practice since 1997. Scott earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1980, with a major in Psychology. He received his Masters Degree from the College of Notre Dame in 1984 specializing in Art Therapy and Marriage, Family and Child Therapy. He is also a registered Art Therapist. Scott has worked extensively with children, adolescents and families in a variety of treatment settings. He invested 17 years working as a therapist in psychiatric hospitals, residential and day treatment programs. Scott helped to develop a Children’s inpatient hospital at the Community Psychiatric Center in California. He worked as a Residential Therapist and eventually a “Supervisor” and “Program Director” at the Cleo Wallace Center, here in Colorado Springs from 1992 until venturing out into private practice in 1997.
Since starting his private practice, Scott has utilized his understanding of Children, Parenting and Family dynamics to broaden his scope of practice to also specialize in Marital and Couples Therapy. Although, Marital and Family Therapy has become his passion, Scott also sees Children, Adolescents and Adults for individual therapy. Scott has specific training in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He is certified in E.M.D.R. and has been working with Iraq War Veterans, dealing with PTSD. Scott is a well rounded therapist who utilizes a variety of therapeutic skills, interests and training including Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Scott is a very compassionate, empathetic man invested in his commitment to providing quality care for people.
